Chai is definitely the most popular beverage in India-it is sure to refresh and awaken your senses.

Ingredients:
2-3 tsps tea (depending on the tea you use)
1 /2 inch piece ginger
2 cardamoms
1 /2 cup water
1 ½ cup milk
3 tsps sugar
Preparation:
- Crush the ginger and cardamom.
- Boil water in a saucepan.
- Add the crushed ginger and cardamom.
- Add the tea leaves and let it boil a min.
- Slowly pour in the milk.Add sugar,mix well and bring to a boil.
- Turn off the heat and strain into tea cups.
- Enjoy your hot cup of chai.
Tips:
Use a mortar and pestle to crush the ginger and cardamom.
