Coriander and mint chutney

This is a very simple Coriander (cilantro) and Mint chutney that goes well with many dishes - including famous samosa, dosa, idli, etc.


Ingredients:

1 bunch Coriander / Cilantro Leaves
1 bunch Mint Leaves
1 clove Garlic
2 Green Chillies
1 1/2 Tsp Urad Dhal
2 pinches Hing
1 Tbsp grated Coconut
Small piece Puli / Tamarind
1Tsp Oil
Salt to taste

Preparation:

  • Heat oil in a pan, add urad dhal & fry till pink. Take it out.
  • In the same pan fry garlic, green chillies, coconut, coriander leaves, mint leaves & hing.
  • Cool & grind it along with salt & puli.

Ease of preparation: Easy
