Tomato Chutney

This chutney goes very well with moong dhal dosa.

Ingredients:

2 medium Tomatoes chopped
1 medium Onion chopped
1-2 Green Chillies
1/4 Cup Coconut gratings
1 Tsp Sambar Powder
1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder

For Seasoning:

1/4 Tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2 Tsp Urad Dhal
Few Curry Leaves


Preparation:

  • Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan and  fry onion and  tomatoes till soft.
  • Grind this with green chillies and coconut.
  • Heat 1 1/2 tsp oil in a separate pan, add the seasonings.
  • When mustard pops, add the ground paste, 1/3 cup water, turmeric powder, sambar powder and  salt.
  • Cook in low flame till oil floats on top of the chutney.
