Ingredients:
1/2 bunch Spinach chopped
1/2 Cup Thuvar Dhal
1/4 Cup grated Coconut
1 1/2 Tsp urad dhal
1/4 Tsp Jeera
1 Red Chillies
Little Turmeric Powder
Salt to taste
Preparation:
- Pressure cook thuvar dhal with chopped spinach & enough water.
- In a pan dry roast urad dhal,jeera & red chillies till dhal turns golden brown.
- Finally add coconut & turmeric powder.Fry for few minutes.
- Grind this in a blender to a smooth paste with water.
- Add the paste to the dhal mixture.
- Add salt & water boil for 10-15 minutes.
Tips:
Red chillies can be replaced with black pepper.
Replace spinach with cabbage to call it cabbage milagootal.
