Matki / Moth Bean Curry

Healthy delicious dish that goes well with chapati.

Ingredients:

3/4 Cup Moth Beans/Matki
1 Onion chopped
1 Tomato chopped
1 Tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
1/2 Tsp Chilli Powder
1 1/2 Tsp Coriander Powder
1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 Tsp Garam Masala Powder
1/4 Cup chopped Coriander Leaves
1 Tbsp Oil
Salt to taste

Preparation:


Soak beans overnight.
Heat oil in a cooker. Saute onion and ginger-garlic paste till transparent.
Add chopped tomatoes and little salt. Cook till soft.
Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder.
Mix and cook in low flame till oil separates.
Add soaked beans, water and salt. Pressure cook.
Open cooker and add coriander leaves.
Cook in low flame for 5 more minutes.
