Whole Moong Daal with Spinach

Whole daal and spinach - it does not get any healthier than this. Tastes good too!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Whole moong dhal
1/2 bunch spinach chopped
1 medium red onion chopped
1 medium tomato chopped
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
salt to taste
1tblsp oil

Preparation:

  • Soak moong dhal overnight & pressure cook till soft.
  • Heat oil in a pan & add chopped onion & ginegr-garlic paste.
  • Fry till golden & add copped tomatoes & salt.
  • Cover & cook in low flame till tomatoes are soft.
  • Add chilli powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder & garam masala powder.
  • Cook till oil separates.
  • Now add cooked moong dhal & chopped spinach.
  • Cook till gravy become thick.
  • Serve hot with Chapathi.
