Fish Balls

“Fish balls” is a very easy recipe that can be served as a snack or along  with a meal. It goes well with ketchup.


Ingredients:


boneless fish fillet or with bones   1 lb.
Potato     1/4 lb.
Egg            1
butter       1tbs.
Pepper powder  and salt to taste
chopped coriander leaves      2tbs.
Oil for deep frying     1 cup



Preparation:

 

  • Clean and wash the fish.
  • Pour little water, add salt and cook fish till it is well done and dry.
  • After it cools mash it if it is fillet or remove bones and then mash.
  • Cook the potatoes separately. Peel and mash it.
  • Now mix the fish ,potatoes, egg, butter ,corriander leaves, pepper and salt.
  • Roll it into small balls the size of gooseberry.
  • Deep fry it and serve.



Tips:

You can use canned fish too. see to it that you drain the oil or bran thoroughly. Mackerel and tuna taste better. Don't use soft fish.
