Fish with Saffron

A simple twist to the normal fried fish.Try this recipe with any fish you have at hand.

 

Ingredients:
5 saffron strands
2 egg yolks
1 garlic clove crushed
1/2 inch ginger piece crushed
4 salmon steaks
oil for deep frying
salt
1 tsp chili powder

Preparation:
  • Soak saffron in 1 tbsp boiling water .
  • Add in the egg yolks and beat the mixture.
  • Season with garlic,ginger,salt & chili powder.
  • Place fish steaks in a shallow dish.
  • Coat with the egg mixture,cover and let in marinate in the refrigerator for an hr.
  • Heat oil
  • Fry the fish ,1 steak at a time for about 10 mins until golden brown.
  • Serve immediately with lemon wedges & rice.

Tips:
Any type of fish can be used for this recipe.
