Prawn Varatti

Delicious Prawn dish with a simple recipe.


Ingredients:

Prawns / shrimp 1 lb.
onions 2
tomato 1
garlic 3 cloves
egg 1
chopped coriander leaf 1 tbs.
oil 2 tbs.
chilli powder 1/2tsp.
salt to taste


Preperation:


  • Devein and clean the prawn thoroughly and keep aside.
  • Thinly cut or dice the onion and garlic.
  • Heat the oil.
  • Add the onions and garlic with some salt . Cook it till it is light brown.
  • Now add the diced tomato, coriander leaves ,chilli powder and cook it till it is done.
  • Add the cleaned prawns adding half cup of water. Cook till well done - till the oil separates on slow fire.
  • Just before removing the pan with prawns, break the egg on the prawn mixture and stir it briskly till it is dry.



Tips:

Small or medium sized prawns tastes better as it absorbs the masala.
