Spiced Shrimp on a stick

A light and refreshing dish - Shrimp marinated in a mild spice blend and grilled.Serve this dish with a bowl of fresh salad.

Ingredients:

1 lb raw, deveined shrimp (leave only the tail fan on)

For Marinade:

2 cloves garlic
½ inch fresh ginger
1 ½ tbsp lemon concentrate
1 tsp garam masala
1 pinch turmeric powder
1 pinch chili powder
2 tbsps oil
salt to season.

Preparation:
  • Puree all the ingredients under marinade in a blender.
  • Pour marinade over the shrimp and let it sit 15 - 30 mins.
  • Thread the shrimp on skewers leaving small spaces between them.
  • Heat grill to medium high.
  • Oil the grill and cook shrimp for about 3 mins on each side.
  • Serve hot.
