Mutton gravy with butter beans |

Simple mutton dish that goes well with rice, dosa and chapati. Learnt this from my mom.

Ingredients:
300 grams Mutton
3/4 Cup Butter beans
2 Tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
1 medium Onion Chopped
1 medium Tomato Chopped
2 Tsp Coriander Powder
1 Tsp Chilli Powder
1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1/3 Cup Coconut Paste(optional)
1/2" Cinnamon Stick
3 Cloves
1 Tbsp Oil
Salt to taste
Preparation:
- Pressure cook beans with salt and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add cloves and cinnamon.
- Fry for few seconds and add onion, little salt and ginger-garlic paste.
- Fry till golden and add tomatoes.
- Cook till tomatoes are soft.
- Add chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder.
- Cook in low flame till oil comes to the surface.
- Add mutton, salt, coconut paste and half a cup water.
- Mix well and pressure cook till meat is tender.
- Once cooked, open the lid and add cooked butter beans.
- Cook in low flame till the gravy becomes thick and oil floats on the top.
