Peas Pulao

A simple, warm and comforting rice and peas dish that goes well with any side!

Ingredients:

2 cups Basmati rice

1 cup frozen/fresh peas

2 onions sliced

2 tbsps ghee

2 cardamoms

2 cloves

2 pieces of cinnamon

1 bay leaf

salt

water to cook rice (abt 4 cups)

Preparation:

  • Melt ghee & fry the the sliced onion.
  • Add in the whole spices and stir around.
  • Add the water,peas,rice and salt and cover.
  • Simmer till  the rice is cooked.

Tips:

Garnish with fried onions

Ease of preparation: Easy
