Coconut Burfi

Simple sweet that can made with the frozen coconut gratings. Got the recipe from Stella Aunty.

Ingredients:

5 Cups Grated Coconut
4 Cups Sugar
1 Cup Water
1-2 Drops Red Food Color
1 Tbsp sliced Almonds
1 Tbsp Pista

Preparation:
  • Grease a plate with butter or ghee and sprinkle crushed almonds and pista and set aside.
  • Heat a non stick kadai and fry the coconut for 5 minutes in medium flame without changing its color.
  • Add sugar and water.
  • Keep stirring till it starts bubbling.
  • Add red color and keep stirring till it leaves the side of the kadai.
  • Pour the coconut mixture onto the greased plate and spread with a spatula.
  • After few minutes, cut into desired shape.
Ease of Preparation: Easy.

Tip:
  • I used frozen daily delight grated coconut.
