Traditional dish takes long time to cook but the end product is so yummy.

Ingredients:

1 Lb Green Beans
1/2 Cup Thuvar Dhal
1-2 Red Chillies
2 Tsp Oil
Salt to taste

Seasoning:

1/4 Tsp Mustard Seeds
1 Tsp Urad Dhal
1 Red chillies Broken
1 Sprig Curry Leaves
A pinch of Hing

Preparation:
  • Chop green beans.
  • Soak thuvar dhal for an hour and drain completely.
  • Grind dhal coarsely with red chillies and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add the seasonings.
  • When mustard crackle, add chopped beans, little salt and cook.
  • When the beans is about 3/4th cooked add dhal mixture and salt.
  • Fry till the dhal is golden brown.
  • Serve with rice and sambar.
Tips:

Do not over cook the dhal otherwise it will become hard.
