Drumsticks cooked with spices and coconut milk.

Ingredients
:
 
 
2 tbsps oil
1 /4 tsp mustard seeds
1 /4 tsp jeera / cumin seeds
4 curry leaves
1 onion chopped
1 pinch turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 /4 tsp chili powder
2 tbsp thick coconut milk
Salt to taste
25 drumstick pieces - cut into 3 inch long pieces
 
 
Preparation:
 
  • Boil drumstick with some salt in the microwave or stove top. Drain and set aside.
  • Meanwhile, heat oil in a saucepan.
  • Add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves. Let it crackle.
  • Add in the chopped onion and some salt. Cover and let it cook till the onions are translucent.
  • Add the turmeric, coriander and chili powders. Mix well and let it cook a few mins.
  • Add in the drumstick , a bit of water and simmer for about 10 mins.
  • Add the coconut milk , bring to a boil and cook till all the liquid evaporates.
  • Enjoy hot with rice.
 
Tips:

 
I used “Deep” brand frozen drumsticks for this recipe.
