Green Beans & Carrot Poriyal

This colorful vegetable dish also contains dhal that adds a nice twist to this dish.

Ingredients:

1/2 Lb Green Beans cut into small pieces
2 Carrot chopped
1/2 Cup Green Peas
1/3 cup Soaked Channa Dhal
2 Tbsp coconut gratings
1 1/2 Tsp oil
Salt to taste

Seasoning:

1/4 Tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2 Tsp Jeera
1 Tsp Urad Dhal
1 Red Chilli broken
1 Sprig Curry leaf

Preparation:
  • Heat oil in a pan & add the seasoning.
  • When mustard crackle, add the vegetable & salt.
  • Cover & cook till done.
  • Before removing from the stove, add coconut & mix.
  • Serve hot with rice & sambar.
