Moru Curry with Mango

Simple gravy that goes well with white rice. Learnt it from my friend Jessey.

Ingredients:

1 Cup Raw Mango cubed
1 small Tomato chopped
2 Green Chillies sliced
Few Curry Leaves
Little Turmeric Powder
Salt to taste

Grind to Paste:

1 Shallot
1/3 Cup Coconut
1/4 Tsp Jeera
2 Cups Curd/Yoghurt

Seasoning:


Little Mustard Seeds
Few Methi Seeds
1 Tbsp Onion Chopped
1 Red Chilli broken into pieces
Few Curry Leaves
Little Chilli Powder
Little Turmeric Powder

Preparation:

  • Cook mango pieces along with tomato, green chillies, curry leaves, turmeric powder, salt and 1 cup water.
  • Once mango gets cooked add the ground paste and cook in low flame till it gets warmed up.
  • Meanwhile heat 2 tsp oil in a pan and add mustard. Once it crackles add methi seeds, red chillies, curry leaves and onion.
  • Fry till onion becomes light brown.Add turmeric and chilli powder. Fry for few seconds and pour it over the curry.
