Peas & Mushroom Gravy

This delicious side dish goes very well with chapathi & pulav.

mushroom & peas gravy
Ingredients:


8 oz White Mushrooms
1 Cup frozen Green Peas
1 Red Onion chopped
1 big Tomato chopped
1 Tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
2 Tsp Coriander Powder
1/2 Tsp Chilli Powder
1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 Tsp Garam Masala Powder
1 Tbsp Cashew Paste
Salt to taste
1Tbsp Oil


Preparation:
  • Clean and cut mushrooms into medium pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion, little salt & ginger-garlic paste.
  • Saute till golden brown in colour.
  • Add tomatoes, little salt and cook till tomatoes are soft.
  • Add chilli powder coriander powder, turmeric powder & garam masala powder.
  • Cook till the oil leaves the masala.
  • Add cashew paste mixed with 1 cup water and stir.
  • Add mushroom & peas.
  • Add 1/4 cup water and boil in medium flame till oil floats on top
  • Serve hot.

Tip:

Mushroom sweat water while cooking.So adjust water accordingly.

query
i have not cooked mushroom till now, i have got it from the nearby supermarket. within how many minutes mushroom will be cooked. is that easy to prepare. pressure cooker has to be used or it will be gently cooked normally itself? pls clear my query.
