This great lasagna recipe requires no peeling, chopping or any of the fancy ingredients.A great make ahead dish that is perfect for potlucks and parties.Another great and easy recipe shared by my elder sister.Try making this lasagna with ground beef, lamb, chicken or turkey.Tastes great anyway!!

Ingredients:
1 9oz pack lasagna noodle( Barilla oven ready-no boil noodles)
1 lb ground beef/lamb/chicken /turkey
8 oz Tomato sauce(the ones with garlic, chili flavor etc. will be good)
16 oz fat free cottage cheese (small curd)
1 egg beaten
1 14oz can black or red beans
8 oz can mushrooms
1 26 oz can pasta sauce
shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
oil
cooking spray
Preparation:
- Heat oil in a large sauce pan.
- Add the ginger garlic paste and fry.
- Add the ground meat and brown it.
- Add in the tomato sauce and pasta sauce and bring it to a boil.Turn off the heat.
- Beat the eggs and add it to the cottage cheese in the box.Mix well.
- Take a rectangular baking tray(13x9) and make layers.
- Pour in a layer of the tomato and ground meat sauce.
- Next add lasagna noodles to cover the pans width and length.
- Add a layer of the cottage cheese and egg mixture.
- Add another layer of lasagna noodles.
- Pour a layer of tomato ground meat sauce.
- Add another layer of the canned beans and mushrooms.
- Pour remaining sauce over.Spread.
- Top with a layer of shredded mazarella cheese.
- Spray some non stick cooking oil on a sheet of foil and cover the lasagna tray.(to prevent sticking)
- Make a few tiny holes on the foil with a fork.
- Bake covered as per cooking instructions on the lasagna noodle pack.
- When done, let it cool a bit before cutting out the pieces.
Tips:
- This is a great ‘MAKE AHEAD DISH’.Layer the lasagna and keep it in the refrigerator.Bake when needed.
- If using lasagna that needs to be boiled –boil according to instructions. Then layer as per the recipe –note that the baking time will be much lesser.
- Add 1 / 2 - 1 cup of frozen spinach when cooking the meat and sauce to include more veggies in this dish. You will be able to see the spinach but it makes no difference in the taste!
