Chicken Fingers with Honey Mustard

These chicken fingers are crisp and juicy, easy to prepare and kids will definitely dig in. Serve with a nice salad.

Ingredients:
 
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
1 cup all purpose flour
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
3 / 4 cup milk
oil for deep frying
 
Honey Mustard:
 
1 /2 cup honey
1 /4 cup Dijon Mustard
 

Preparation:
 
  • Cut chicken into strips about 2 inches long.
  • Mix flour , salt and pepper.
  • Dip chicken into milk . Roll in flour mixture to coat well and place on wax paper.
  • Heat oil.
  • Deep fry the chicken strip in batches – about 3 mins on each side – till crisp and golden brown.
  • Drain on paper towels and serve hot with sauce!
 
Sauce:
 
  • In a small bowl, combine the honey and Dijon mustard. Set aside.
 
Tips:
 

1. Prepare the honey mustard sauce 1 or 2 days in advance and refrigerate, so the flavors have time to blend.

2. Place flour in a resealable plastic bag. Dip chicken strips in milk, then put them in the bag. Shake bag well to coat all chicken strips.

3. If making for a large group, they can be fried 1 day ahead and reheated in the oven at 300 F just before serving.
