Garlic Mashed Potato

 This mashed potato with a hint of garlic is so “buttery” and “melt in you mouth good!”

Ingredients:
 
2.5 lbs yukon gold potatoes (abt 6 large)
2 tbsp butter
4 - cloves of garlic
1 cup heavy cream
1  cup milk (I used 2%)
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
 
Preparation:
 
  • Peel the potatoes and dice them .
  • Place potatoes in a pot of water , add salt and bring to a boil. Cook till they are fork tender. Drain and set aside.
  • Meanwhile, heat butter in a sauce pan. Add the crushed garlic .(Use a garlic press)
  • Fry a few mins. Add the heavy cream and milk and let it simmer.
  • Toss the cooked  potatoes into the cream .Mash and mix well. Season with salt and pepper. Turn off heat. Let stand  a few mins before serving.
